Italian robbed in Chisinau

A citizen of Italy has been robbed in Chisinau. General Police Commissariat spokesman Adrian Jovmir has told Info-Prim Neo that the 46-year-old man was attacked in the street by a young man and his female partner and robbed of €200 and an expensive mobile phone.
According to the police, the victim was going home after spending time in a nightclub in Chisinau. A young woman approached him at an intersection and asked him something. From behind, her partner attacked the Italian man with a taser.
When the Italian recovered, he phoned the police. The suspects were arrested shortly afterward. They both have a criminal record. The 25-year-old man served ten years in jail for apartment thefts, while his female partner aged 27 was convicted of drug distribution. If they are found guilty, they will be imprisoned for six to ten years.
