The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Italian Republic Luigi Di Maio is paying a visit to the Republic of Moldova during March 14- 15, IPN reports. The program of the visit includes meetings with the country’s senior state officials and with Minister of Foreign Affairs Nicu Popescu.
The discussions will center on methods of extending the bilateral relationship in the context of the broad Moldovan-Italian dialogue at the political, commercial-economic and diaspora levels. There will also be discussed subjects concerning the European integration agenda of the Republic of Moldova and the regional security situation generated by the war in Ukraine, including the humanitarian crisis and assistance methods for the Ukrainian refugees, said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Moldova.
Nicu Popescu and Luigi Di Maio will sign a joint statement between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Moldova and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Italian Republic. After the event that was set for the morning of March 15, the two ministers will make statements for the press at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. These will be broadcast live on the Ministry’s Facebook page.
