Over 800 linear meters of pluvial drainage pipes and 200 sewer pipes will be cleaned in the immediate period in order to solve the problem of flooding following heavy rain on some of the streets of the capital city, IPN reports, quoting the Chisinau City Hall

In a press release, the municipality said the specialized municipal services, as a result of a tender contest, signed a contract with an Italian company that will clean the surface drainage system with modern equipment. The works were assessed at 1.7 million lei.

The works on Albișoara, Calea Ieșilor and other streets will last for a month.
