The consular section of the Representative Office of the Embassy of Israel in Chisinau stopped work on July 19. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Moldova was notified of this by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel, IPN reports.

According to the Israeli authorities, the decision was taken following the reduction in the number of applicants for visas as a result of the abolition of the short-stay visas for Moldovans in Israel on December 15, 2014.

For consular services, the Moldovans will now go to the consular section of the Embassy of Israel in Bucharest located on Piata Unirii, 1 Dimitrie Cantemir Blvd.
