The Chisinau administration and the authorities of Anenii Noi are negotiating the resumption of transportation of garbage from the capital city to the waste dump in Tantareni village. Deputy mayor of Chisinau Vlad Cotet had a meeting with the mayor of Tantareni, but no agreement has been yet reached as to the price for storing the waste there, Info-Prim Neo reports. Mayor General of Chisinau municipality Dorin Chirtoaca said they cannot yet speak about the resumption of the process, but there are preconditions. “This year we must resume the transportation of waste to Tantareni as the current state of affairs cannot be endured. The waste dump should be modernized and there should be built a cleaning station, in accordance with the European standards,” he stated. Dorin Chirtoaca also said that if the garbage is taken again to Tantareni, it will be separated and processed. The responsible municipal companies were given time by March 1 to set up separate containers for glass, paper, plastic, and metal at all the waste collection areas.
