Issue of heat charges to be discussed next week
The meeting where the new heating charges will be discussed and approved will take place early next week. Anatol Barbei, spokesman for the National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE), has told Info-Prim Neo that until then there will be verified the calculations done by Termocom. A public meeting will be held afterward, Info-Prim Neo reports.
On January 27, SA Termocom submitted an application to the ANRE, asking that it increase the heat charge by 12%, from 821 to 930 lei per gigacalorie.
The Chisinau heat supplier made the request following the approval of a 12.2% rise in the natural gas charges - from 4,098 to 4,599 lei per 1,000 cubic meters of gas - by the ANRE. The tariffs on the services provided by thermoelectric plants were raised by 15.5%. The new charges come into effect on February 1.
