Issue of fozen conflicts from GUAM member countries will again be discussed in UN

The issue of frozen conflicts from GUAM member countries will be discussed in New York on December 4, during the 61st UN session. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, a GUAM member country, the main goal of these discussions is to increase awareness of the international community as to what is happening on the territory of GUAM member countries, and namely the regional conflicts that hamper the national development of these countries. On the other hand, discussions within UN coincide with the increased probability that the international community will take measures that will contribute to the conflict’s solution. According to the cited source, it is presumed that a resolution will be adopted as a result of the discussions. At present the GUAM ministries of foreign affairs and the UN General Assembly members are undertaking the required negotiations. The problem of frozen conflicts from GUAM member countries has also been discussed in September.
