An Israeli man, who also holds Russian citizenship, has been arrested in Moldova. According to the Moldovan Police, the man is the leader of a criminal organization whose operations include robberies, arms and drug trafficking, and contract killing, among others.
The Police say the man, 38, was arrested in a Chisinau hotel on August 13, two days after his arrival, in a joint operation with the Migration Bureau.
The man was declared persona non grata in Moldova and put on a plane under escort.
From 2018 and until present, 541 people deemed to be a threat to national security have been declared personae non gratae on the request of the Directorate for Criminal Investigations.
