Prime Minister Dorin Recean is urging the country's population to save electricity, especially during peak hours, between 07:00 and 11:00 in the morning and 18:00 and 23:00 in the evening. State institutions will again receive the necessary instructions to save electricity, IPN reports.
According to Dorin Recean, the situation in the energy sector is not simple, but the government has scenarios in place to cope with the challenges.
Isolated power cuts are possible, but it will be a manageable situation.
The Prime Minister asked the population to mobilize and show solidarity by saving electricity. Already today, Moldova cannot get enough energy from the Cuciurgan power plant and has to buy it on the market at a higher price.
