IS Registru issues first series B passports
The state-owned company Registru started to issue series B passports, which cost as much as series A passports, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to the Ministry of Information Development, unlike the series A passport, the series B passport does not contain information about the person: name, surname, citizenship, place and date of birth, height, color of the eyes, blood group. Also, the number in the new passport is printed on the first page and perforated on the next pages.
The price of the passport remained unchanged. If the passport is issued during a month, it costs 250 lei, during 25 days - 290 lei, during 10 days - 570 lei, during 5 days - 710 lei, during 24 hours – 1,260 lei.
The parents that travel often abroad can obtain passports for the children from the day they are born.
The series A passports issued to Moldovans remain valid until their period of validity expires. Series A passports containing additional biometric data will be issued in parallel with series B passports.
