Irina Vlah, who ran independently for the office of President, said that the day after election day, she received a lot of calls and messages from the citizens who voted for her and who asked her about the further actions. In a press briefing at IPN, the politician said that she will announce her decision only after extensive consultations with citizens, especially in the localities where she was voted massively.
“On October 20, I contended in the presidential election as an independent candidate, where I obtained appreciable support from citizens. By this way, I would like to thank them," said Irina Vlah. She added that she decided to start an extensive campaign of consultations with citizens on the further actions.
"The people want to get involved. Without the massive involvement of the people, who are not indifferent to the fate of the country, the Republic of Moldova cannot be saved," stated Irina Vlah.
The politician announced that, together with the team, she will go to settlements where she will discuss with people, and that she will go, in particular, to the localities where she was supported by a significant number of voters. According to Irina Vlah, these people put hope in their vote and they should be directly involved in the decision-making process in the future.
"I am sure that this time too, the people will help me make a correct decision and I will make public this decision at the end of the citizen consultation campaign,” noted the politician.
