Irina Vlah, who ran independently in the presidential election, said that for her and her team the result she achieved is a victory. According to her, if the election had not been rigged on election day, she would have obtained a much better result.
"I was the most persecuted candidate. I constantly informed about the intimidation, pressure, image attacks to which I was subjected during the election campaign," Irina Vlah said in a press briefing hosted by IPN.
Irina Vlah believes that the government did everything to prevent her from campaigning and that she was the target of a number of provocations, but even under such conditions she managed to promote her electoral offer and to talk directly with many wonderful people.
"I want to take this opportunity to thank the citizens of the Republic of Moldova who voted for me. At the same time, I want to thank all those with whom I got in touch during the election campaign. The people have been and remain my source of energy, which gives me the necessary strength to always move forward. I promise that I will continue to stand by the citizens of the Republic of Moldova," said Irina Vlah.
She noted that, together with her team and the people, she will identify solutions to the problems faced by the country and will make all the necessary efforts for these to be solved.
In another development, Irina Vlah said that, together with her mates, she is analyzing information about election day fraud. "For us, it is absolutely clear that, beyond the pressure exerted during the campaign, those who are in power, having all the levers at their disposal, rigged the election, including on the day of voting,” she stated.
