Moldovan athlete Irina Ringaci has won a silver medal at the European Junior Wrestling Championships held in Spain, IPN reports.

In the 62 kg weight class, she beat Azerbaijan’s Zhala Aliyeva, Italy’s Morena De Vita and Kateryna Zelenykh of Ukraine, but in the final lost to Russia’s Maria Lachugina.

Another Moldovan-Russian final will take place in the men’s 70 kg weight class. Vasile Diacon plays Magomed Abdulkadyrov. Radu Lefter qualified for the final of the 97 kg class. He will compete against Turkey’s Feyzullah Akturk.
