Moldova’s Irina Rîngaci has become European vice champion in the 65 kg category after submitting to the Bulgarian Mimi Hristova at the European Wrestling Championships taking place in Zagreb.
Rîngaci achieved three victories, against France’s Kendra Dacher, Azerbaijan’s Elis Manolova and Ukraine’s Tetiana Rizhko.
Last year, Rîngaci became the European champion in the 68 kg category.
In 53kg, Moldova’s Iulia Leorda lost in the bronze medal match to Maria Prevolaraki of Greece.
And in 59 kg, Anastasia Nichita won the gold medal, becoming European champion for the third time.
