Irina Ringacci in women’s wrestling and Victor Ciobanu in Greco-Roman wrestling will be the first representatives of the Republic of Moldova to enter the wrestling competition at the Paris Olympic Games today, August 5, IPN reports.

Both fighters will duel in their first meeting with representatives of North Korea. Irina Rîngaci will face Sol Gum Pak, while Victor Ciobanu will fight Se Ung Ri.

The contest starts at 04:00 p.m., Chisinau time, on the Champ-de-Mars Arena.

Also tonight, at 09:30 p.m., athlete Alexandra Emilianov will contend in the final of the discus throw event. In the playoffs, she achieved the sixth best result, of 64.33 meters.
