Today, October 1, 2013, IPN News Agency celebrates 15 years of its establishment. Since then, the team of IPN communicated in order to exist and existed in order to communicate, considering this the essence of its mission.

In the period, we existed in order to communicate correctly and honestly and to report correctly and honestly so as to exist dignifiedly and honorably in this modern world where dignity, honor and value are not always among the top priorities.

We aimed to communicate honestly with society and to facilitate the communication of the people with the people. We wanted to be faithful to the slogan “Useful. Impartial. Prompt.” with which we started work on October 1, 1998, alongside the colleagues from Radio Antena C and the newspaper Capitala-Stolitsa.  It is our subscribers and our consumers of information who should judge us and say if we managed to be so.

In this period, we wanted a life and a country where to work and live better, but understood that everyone deserves the life and the country that they create personally or as part of a team. We dare to assume a small part of the merits of a better life in Moldova, where there are such signs, and many of the responsibilities for what went wrong in the country in the period.

Going through a clinical death in 2005 and being renamed two times (from Info-Prim into Info-Prim Neo and then into IPN), the Agency made effort to adjust itself to the always changing and rather capricious conditions of the Moldovan information market and to make the current, former and future political oppositions and governments be more attentive to the fate and role of the media in Moldova. We consider it necessary to reiterate this thought because the Agency, with its then name Info-Prim, was completely destroyed by the then ruling parties – the Communist Party and the Christian-Democratic People’s Party - which thought that they will exist forever. Seriously injured, the Agency found power and will to resist and to look for and find a place and role in this difficult life of the country.

We hope we will never again be put in the situation to publish such articles as our Agency had to publish then, with an outcry-title “INFO-PRIM NO LONGER EXISTS”, which we recommend reading this year too as a warning.
