Ion Terguţă, the candidate of ACUM DA PAS bloc for uninominal constituency number 17 Nisporeni at the parliamentary elections of 24 February, says a final decision regarding his repeated participation in the snap parliamentary election of 20 October has not been taken yet.

Concatced by IPN, Ion Terguţă said that, according to parties’ internal procedures, territorial organizations were asked first. They made a decision on Monday, 12 August and sent it to Chisinau. "This decision will be discussed by the Political Offices and afterwards by the National Political Councils of the two parties and a final decision will be taken," says Ion Terguţă.

At the parliamentary elections held on 24 February, Ion Terguţă came second, polling 5311 votes, as compared to 20926 gained by the winning candidate Vlad Plahotniuc, former leader of the PDM. The latter has given up his MP’s seat.
