The Party “Action and Solidarity” (PAS) and the Party “Platform Dignity and Truth” (PPDA) have chances of entering Parliament after the next legislative elections. Thus, the legislative body could consist of representatives of four parties – the Party of Socialists, the Democratic Party, the PAS and PPDA, former Prime Minister Ion Sturza stated in the talk show “Important” on TVC 21 channel, IPN reports.
According to the ex-Premier, the PAS and PPDA could obtain about 30% of the seats in Parliament. There will be thus a counterbalance and one party will be unable to form a constitutional majority. “If the real canons of the propagandistic holding of the Democratic Party will be taken from these two opposition parties with chances of entering Parliament - “Action and Solidarity” and “Platform Dignity and Truth” – things could slightly change,” stated Ion Sturza.
He expressed his skepticism about the possibility of a merger between the two parties. “The voters of Andrei Nastase are more radicalized. They form part rather of another group than the wisest and most intellectual persons from the diaspora who support Maia Sandu, for example. That’s why it would be wise to follow two distinct paths and to combine forces in the future Parliament,” he stated.
