The candidate for Prime Minister Ion Sturza will present himself in Parliament to ask for the MPs’ vote of confidence on January 4, but considers that early legislative elections will most probably take place in Moldova. He said he will remain in politics even if he is not voted in Premier. He made such statements in the program “Politics” on TV 7 channel, IPN reports.
“I think we will enter an electoral process within three months, if not at the end of January. I had meetings with foreign ambassadors. They do not consider that the early elections are a danger for Moldova,” stated Ion Sturza.
He noted that when he accepted to run for the premiership, he didn’t intend to enter politics. “I didn’t have such an intention, but the train set off and does not have a brake. We will build a new political force. It is premature to speak about ideology, but the project will definitely include people who had been in politics and suffered because of this. We will support Maia Sandu and the Platform X. The goal is to join together and bring a new political class to power, which will destroy the matrix,” said the candidate for Premier.
He also said he was assured by the Lib-Dems and the Liberals that they will vote him on January 4. He is to yet meet with the MPs of the Leanca group, while the Democrats refuse to have a discussion with him.
