Ion Hadarca: Dramatic epopee ended and another stage starts

A dramatic epopee that involved multiple impediments on the path to European integration, exigencies and political crises has ended in Moldova. A new stage starts, from which society expects better living conditions, political stability and reforms, said the leader of the group of Liberal reformers Ion Hadarca, quoted by IPN.

In a news conference, Ion Hadarca said the Vilnius Eastern Partnership Summit is a success story for Moldova. “Our expectations include the improvement of the quality of life, appreciation of our actions and consistency, and definitive separation from an area that offered negative surprises,” stated the MP. He also said that after the initialing of the Association Agreement, the border with the EU will slowly move towards the East.

MP Valeriu Saharneanu, who is a member of the group of Liberal reformers, said the Vilnius events are only a first step towards the achievement of the objectives to modernize and Europeanize Moldovan society. The real work of the current government starts after the Summit. “We will have to carry out a number of serious reforms in economy, justice, education, healthcare and other areas in order to ensure the implementation of the European standards in Moldova,” said the MP.

In the same news conference, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sport Sergiu Stanciu called on the young people of Moldova to become involved in the process of promoting the European integration idea as they are those who will fully benefit from the results of this process.

All the leaders of the Pro-European Coalition will be present at the Summit in Vilnius.
