Ion Cutelaba suspended for doping

Moldovan mixed martial arts wrestler Ion Cutelaba was suspended by the World Anti-Doping Agency one day before his fifth fight at the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

Cutelaba is suspected of violating the rules of the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA). Ultimately, the November 4 fight against Poland’s Michal Oleksiejczuk was put off. “I underwent a legal medical procedure to have an inflammation reduced. I think this procedure is not known by the USADA,” Ion Cutelaba stated for IPN.

Cutelaba has competed in the Ultimate Fighting Championship since 2016. He played four fights, winning two victories and suffering two defeats.
