The Public Services Agency registered the 68th party in Moldova. This is the Political Party “Party of Development and Union of Moldova” (PDCM) that was founded and is led by ex-Premier Ion Chicu. The announcement concerning the party’s registration was made by its leader, IPN reports.
According to Ion Chicu, over 1,600 citizens signed to join the PDCM since the party’s founding was announced and five local organizations were created so far. The union of society and mobilization of the people for improving things in the country can be achieved only by bringing back upright intellectuals and professionals to the forefront of the sociopolitical life.
One of the party’s major objectives that is stipulated in the program approved by the constitution congress is to restore the rule of law and order in the country by reforming the political system and public administration. The party also aims to combine the nation’s forces for achieving the European integration objective and to ensure an economic jump so as to realize the country’s potential of improving the living standards.
The Party of Development and Union of Moldova embraces the Christian-democratic political doctrine and is a party of the center-right. Ion Chicu said the party’s key goal is to develop the Republic of Moldova and improve people’s lives by uniting society around common ideas and aims.
