The seat of mayor general of the municipality of Chisinau won by the leader of the National Alternative Movement Party led by Ion Ceban was validated by the Chisinau District Electoral Council, IPN reports.

In Wednesday’s meeting, the Council confirmed the results of the November 5 local elections. According to these, Ion Ceban won the seat by the first round of voting, gaining 132,803 votes or 50.62% of the ballot.

The Chisinau District Electoral Council validated and assigned the 51 seats of councilor on the Chisinau Municipal Council.

In the November 5 elections, the National Alternative Movement Party and the Party of Acton and Solidarity gained by 20 seats of councilor. The Party of Socialists will have six seats of councilor on the CMC, the Party of Communists – two seats, while the Revival Party, the Party “Dignity and Truth Platform” and Our Party – by one seat each.
