Chisinau's elected mayor, Ion Ceban, wants to be able to create a majority with ACUM bloc in Chisinau Municipality Council as soon as possible. "We know that we can have a very concrete plan on the problems the capital inhabitants are facing and I propose to share these responsibilities," said Ion Ceban.
The elected mayor has said that he is fine with ACUM having two deputy mayors and at least two praetors. Ion Ceban mentions that he is open to collaboration with all councilors who do not have integrity issues.
The Socialist maintains that, as soon as the mayor's mandate is validated, he will do his best to implement the program he has set forth. Once his mandate is validated, he will suspend his membership in the PSRM.
Ion Ceban states that he has become mayor to develop the city, the suburbs and not to aspire to other positions. According to him, "the problems of the city must be tackled here and now." The elected mayor mentioned the construction and repairs of roads and sidewalks, the completion of the General Urban Plan, the development of the housing fund, the development of the suburbs, the creation of jobs, the modernization of kindergartens and schools.
Ion Ceban says he called his opponent, Andrei Nastase, but he did not answer the phone.
