Mayor general of Chisinau Ion Ceban said that he voted today for the present and future of all children, for the citizens who are here in the country and those who are abroad. The mayor went to the polling station together with his wife and youngest son, IPN reports.
“I voted for all the citizens, from south to north, from here in the center, those who are temporarily or forever away from the Republic of Moldova, all of us, to have a better life, decent salaries, incomes that allow the people to live at home in peace, comfortably and to be able to face challenges,” the mayor told the press after exercising their right to vote.
He also said that he is going to spend the day with his family. In the morning, he will do sport and will then go to the zoo together with his three children.
Voters are expected to cast their ballots at 2,219 polling stations, of which 1,988 were established on the territory of the Republic of Moldova, including 30 polling stations intended for people living on the left bank of the Dniester.
