Chisinau Mayor General Ion Ceban has submitted his mandate of MP and deputy speaker of Parliament today, at the Permanent Bureau meeting. The announcement was made by him on Facebook, IPN reports.

According to Ion Ceban, his last request signed as Deputy Speaker of Parliament refers to the amendments in the field of construction, developed based on his experience pertaining to examining the illegal building cases in Chisinau. The mayor urged his MP colleagues to urgently examine these amendments within the committees as well as to support them at the plenary.

On Tuesday, November 12, Ion Ceban has also suspended his membership of the PSRM.
