The Party of Socialists’ candidate for mayor of Chisinau municipality Ion Ceban said the ensuring of transparency is one of the immediate problems that should be solved at the institution. According to him, the municipal budget costs should be weekly made public. The issue was developed in the program “Direct access” on NTV Moldova channel, IPN reports.
“Ensuring transparency in the spending of money and in the activity is the first and most important thing and what is done at the City Hall should not be turned into PR action. The mayor works to solve the problems and should not campaign on the money paid by the people into the local budget,” stated Ion Ceban.
The Socialists’ candidate said professionals should come to the City Hall. Each division should have very clear working plans and public contests should be organized. The de-bureaucratization is another problem that needs to be solved.
Ion Ceban noted he has a clear strategy for changing things at the City Hall and not for a year only, but for a long period of time.
