Ion Caras calls up 22 footballers

The national team of Moldova coach Ion Caras called up 22 players for the upcoming friendly match against Belarus, scheduled on February 29 in Turkey, Info-Prim Neo reports. The Tricolors will miss their best player in 2011 Alexandru Suvorov. The Cracovia midfielder joins Spartak Nalcik’s Eugen Cebotaru and Sheriff Tiraspol’s Alexandru Dedov on the injured list. Like the previous coach, Caras called up Cernomoret Odessa’s Serghei Covalciuc who has been refusing to play for Moldova for several years already. It’s still unknown whether the 30 year old midfielder will join the team.
