Ion Bodrug leaves General Police Inspectorate

Ion Bodrug vacated the post of chief of the General Police Inspectorate. He informed his colleagues about this in the morning of March 16, saying he decided to work in the private sector. This information was confirmed for IPN by the Inspectorate’s press officer Sabina Cojusnean.

In a message published on the Inspectorate’s Facebook page, Ion Bodrug thanks his colleagues, saying they are those who will now have to continue the activities they initiated together, to develop them and make sure that they produce results.

“I, as a police officer who fully dedicated myself to the service in the police, call on you to take care of your families and to devote more attention to your children. Live nicely because there is a nice life outside this complicated system, which many of us do not manage to explore! I decided to withdraw to a private area of activity.  I wish you to resist the changes and to cope with all the challenges,” says the message.

Police Colonel Ion Bodrug was named chief of the General Police Inspectorate on March 5, 2013. Earlier, he served as deputy minister of the interior.
