The authorities will invest 13 million lei in sports infrastructure by promoting sports, organizing competitions between schools and developing methodologies for managing funds for some of the sports institutions. These are some of the priorities of the Ministry of Education and Research for 2025, IPN reports.
According to a press release of the Ministry of Education, this year the institution will allocate 2.5 million lei for further investing in the Sports School in Grimăncăuți, Briceni and 2.5 million lei for renovating the athletics tracks and the football field at the Sports School in Balti.
Another 8 million lei will be distributed to the Sports Center for Training National Teams for building a canteen.
For the first time, the "Moldova in Motion" program will be implemented with the aim of promoting sports. The €100,000 project will be carried out with the support of the Federal Government of Germany.
Also, the Ministry of Education intends to update a series of policy and normative documents related to sports activity.
The set objectives are part of the Government's Action Plan incorporated into the National Sports Development Strategy for the period until 2030.
