The company “Apa-Canal Chisinau” SA invested 1 million lei in an ultramodern blower that was installed at the water treatment plant in Vadul lui Voda town. The installation was purchased in Sweden, IPN reports.

According to the water supplier, the investment was needed as the old blower used since 1975 didn’t cope. The new installation is less noisy and consumes less energy. While testing the blower during 24 hours, the electricity consummation halved.

The company’s specialists said the new system does not need to be technically inspected as often as the old one and can be programmed to disconnect itself automatically.

The water treatment plant in Vadul lui Voda serves the residents of the town and of several communes located nearby.
