Officials of the City Hall by this weekend will present the documents needed to announce an investment contest for constructing multistory and underground car parks in Chisinau. At Monday's meeting of the City Hall officials, deputy mayor Nistor Grozavu said plots of land on which to build car parks were identified in all the districts of Chisinau, Info-Prim Neo reports. The Public Amenities Division's garage located on Pushkin St may be replaced with a multistory car park, Nistor Grozavu said. According to him, the new parking lots will help ease traffic in the most congested areas of Chisinau, like Pushkin St, the central Market and the main entrances to the city. The setting up of parking lots on sidewalks must continue in parallel, said Mayor Dorin Chirtoaca. Such parking lots are now built on the streets Pushkin St, Columna and Petru Rares.
