Moldovan producers from three sectors of the economy will be able to promote and sell their goods on the EU market through the agency of the program “Export Mission”, which was launched by the Investment Agency in Chisinau on February 2. The program is implemented with the World Bank’s support, IPN reports.
“According to the National Bureau of Statistics, the exports of products in 2020 declined by about 11.5%. This means that we must become more pro-active, better prepared and should adjust ourselves to the new realities, both by re-conceptualizing the marketing and promotion strategy and by increasing the capacities to connect to e-commerce and use online platforms,” said the director of the Investment Agency Rodica Verbeniuc.
She called on all the producers from the Republic of Moldova that work in one of the three sectors – fresh and processed fruit; electronics, cars and equipment; fabrication of furniture – to take part in the contest.
According to Rodica Verbeniuc, the program enables to increase and diversify exports by identifying relevant partners. Thirty national companies operating in the three sectors will be selected by contest. Each beneficiary company could be involved in B2B sessions with relevant EU partners. Through the agency of this program, the national producers can also take part in different international fairs and exhibitions.
The participation conditions can be found on the Investment Agency’s website and its Facebook page. Submissions from national producers are accepted until February 12.
According to Rodica Verbeniuc, with the technical and financial support of the Investment Agency, over 160 local companies during three years signed about 400 contracts, generating exports to the total value of over €56 million.
