Investigative newspaper marks sixth anniversary with new project

The investigative periodical Ziarul de Garda (The Watchdog Paper) has marked its sixth anniversary with the announcement of a new project, which will start in September with video and audio materials being aired at the national radio and television and investigative reports being published on the paper's website at zdg.md.
The project “Promotion of investigative journalism on Radio and TV” will be implemented in partnership with the Independent Television Journalists Association, and with the financial support of the AED and USAID.
“We think this project is necessary because at this moment there are no television investigations at any TV channel in Moldova. The audience has the possibility to watch news and entertainment broadcasts, but people don't get to see the hush-hush aspects of some suspicious business affairs, cases of corruption, abuses, human rights violations, and other things occurring in Moldova”, explained Aneta Grosu, the paper's editor-in-chief.
