The municipal inquiry into the case of a two-year-old girl who died when a part of a broken tree feel over her carriage will last for three days, by Wednesday. Until then, the director of the Green Areas Association Sergey Carp will be suspended, the mayor of Chisinau Ion Ceban announced in the ordinary meeting of officials of municipal services, IPN reports.
The chief health officer of Chinua Boris Gîlcă said the incident happened in “Alunelul” Park of Buiucani district of the capital city on May 14. The child was rushed to the closest hospital, but all attempts to resuscitate her failed.
After this case, the Chisinau City Hall initiated an internal inquiry and all the cultural events that were to take place in that park and in other places in the capital city on May 15 were cancelled.
The Ministry of Environment announced that it also started an internal inquiry into this case and will decide whether to transmit the materials to the Prosecutor’s Office or not depending on its results.
