International week against racism in Moldova
Young Moldovans, students and foreign volunteers will take part, on March 21, in a workshop themed “Exploring (anti)racism in Moldova,” organized by the International Volunteer Organization from Moldova within the International Week against Racism, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to the organizers, the participants will try and identify manifestations and racism and xenophobia in Moldova and the ways of combating the racial discrimination.
The workshop’s schedule implies watching a documentary and a presentation on racism and xenophobia, followed by debates. Foreign students will speak about their countries, about the way they have been received in Moldova and how Moldova is perceived from abroad.
The event is organized with the support of Amnesty International, ARC (US Alumni Resource Center), IREX (International Research Exchange Board.)
