International Music Festival “Martsishor -2015’’ started in Chisinau

The 49th International Music Festival “Martsishor -2015’’ was opened in Chisinau on March 1 with a performance of classical music with the participation of the symphonic orchestra of the National Philharmonic “Serghei Lunkevich”, conducted by  Mihail Agafita, IPN reports.

The symphonic ceremony to open the “Spring Harmony” involved such famous artists as Valentina Nafornita, Cristina and Alexei Terentiev, Mariana Bulicanu, Ionel Manciu, Australian tenor Michael Kleitman, and the soloist of the Bolshoi Theater of Moscow Andrei Jelihovski. The event was held at the National Palace “Nicolae Sulac”.

The organizers prepared a varied program of daily performances of music that will take place in Chisinau, Balti, Nisporeni, Soroca, Hancesti, Calarasi, Glodeni, Orhei, Straseni, Comrat, Taraclia, Rezina, Leova, and Tiraspol until March 10.

Within the festival, recitals will be given by the Romanian bands “Holograf” and “3 Sud Est”, the folk instruments orchestra “Teleradio” of Bulgaria, the Classical Impressions Ensemble of China, etc.

The festival will bring together artists from Estonia, Italy, Romania, the United States, Israel, Georgia, Germania, Russia, and Australia.

On March 2, the lovers of music are invited to the Italian Opera Gala at the National Philharmonic “Serghei Lunkevich”. It will involve the Philharmonic’s symphonic orchestra, the Academic Choir “Doina” and soloists Tatiana Costiuc, Michael Kleitman, and Nadejda Volc.

On March 3, the Organ Hall will host a concert by Estonian organist Aare-Paule Lattik, who will play works by A. Guilmant, J.S. Bach, A. Kapp, F. Glass and others.
