The international driver’s licenses as of October 2 can be obtained from the Public Services Agency also in urgency regimes. The service will be provided within six hours, 24 hours, three, five and 15 workdays. The charges for issuing the document urgently will be identical to those for issuing the national driver’s license, IPN reports.

The Public Services Agency started to accept applications for issuing international driver’s licenses on September 3 this year. During a month it received 309 applications of the kind. The document is issued at request based on the national driver’s license, for a period of up to three years.

To come into possession of an international driver’s licenses, the applicant must present the identity card, the valid new-type national driver’s license, model of 2008 or 2015, proof of charge payment and the standard application form.

The international driver’s license is used when taking part in international traffic only in the presence of the national driver’s license. The holders of the document can freely drive in 83 countries that signed the 1968 Vienna Convention on Road Traffic.

The document stops being valid when the driver’s license is withdrawn. Another international driver’s license can be obtained at request if the person gets a new national driver’s licenses.
