The International Day of Families will be celebrated on Sunday in Chisinau through a series of events and activities. At 02:00 p.m., the Summer Theater Area in “Valea Morilor” Park will host a cultural-artistic event dedicated to the importance of the family and its role in developing a healthy social environment, IPN reports.

According to the Chisinau City Hall, the event will start with a series of recreational activities for children, from creative games to art and crafts workshops. At 04:00 p.m., an artistic program with music and dance will start.

In “Alunelul” Park in Buiucani district, a cultural-artistic event entitled “Family – the basic cell of society” will take place from 01:00 a.m. to 06:00 p.m. The program incudes drawing on asphalt, sports competitions, joyful starts, public marriage proposal, public registration of the marriage of young people from Buiucani, homage to long-living couples, a musical-artistic program.

Participation in events is free.
