The 22nd edition of the International Charity Bazaar will take place from 10:00 to 16:00 on Sunday, December 9, in the Central Pavilion at the International Exhibition Center Moldexpo, Chisinau. In the event, the visitors could go around the world at one venue during one day as the bazaar will involve representatives of about 25 embassies working in Moldova and international organizations. The novelty this year is the participation by the Embassy of Japan and by the community of India.
Maria Marinuța, co-president of the International Women’s Club of Moldova that organizes the event, told IPN that the bazaar became a nice tradition that this year brings the same emotions and magic atmosphere. The Charity Bazaar will surprise the visitors with a wide range of presents, while the businesswomen, female diplomats and wives of foreign diplomats will bring together the culture and traditions of the winter holidays of a number of nations. Local crafts producers will put up handmade objects for sale. The visitors of the bazaar could also find works of art, toys, decorative objects for the winter holidays, etc.
The event will include an artistic program with songs, dances and winter carols. National singers and a choir of Belarus will perform in the course of the day. There will also be a raffle with incredible prizes.
The organizers aim to raise 1 million lei this year. The funds will be allocated for at least five local projects aimed at improving the quality of life of women and socially disfavored children. The beneficiaries were chosen by the grants committee of the International Women’s Club of Moldova. Support will be offered for children with Down syndrome, children of a music school that does not have sanitary facilities and children with disabilities who practice sport, but do not have an accessible sanitary block. The proceeds will also go to purchase a defibrillator for the small patients of the Cardiology Section of the Mother and Child Institute.
Entrance fee is 25 lei. The official inauguration will take place at 11:00.
