International Anti-Corruption Academy will help Moldova to fight corruption

The International Anti-Corruption Academy (IACA) intends to strengthen the cooperation with the Republic of Moldova, the institution’s dean Martin Kreutner said in a meeting with Head of Parliament Marian Lupu, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to a communiqué from the Parliament’s pres service, in the meeting Marian Lupu said that corruption represents a threat to the entire socioeconomic dimension of Moldovan society and is thus a permanent preoccupation at internal level. This fact made the authorities and different socially active groups to promote processes and mechanisms for preventing and combating corruption. The Speaker also said that the anticorruption theme is in the permanent agenda of Moldova’s foreign relations, being addressed separately in the reform promotion and assessment processes. The importance attached to the given issue was highlighted in the bilateral agreements signed with the EU and in the documents of cooperation with the UN, the Council of Europe, NATO and other international organizations.
