Minister of the Interior Dorin Recean said that by the end of this year the Ministry will implement a new system for registering criminal cases. The announcement was made on February 4, after the hearing held by the parliamentary commission of inquiry into the hunting incident in the Domneasca Forest, Info-Prim Neo reports. “We are setting up a system for the police that will not depend on Minister Recean, a certain deputy minister or any other person. Within this system, we proposed changes, including to the method of registering incidents and criminal cases,” said the minister, without giving details. Dorin Recean said he was informed about the incident in the Domneasca Forest on January 4. The Ministry of the Interior started an internal inquiry in order to establish who and how managed the information about this incident. Alexandru Jizdan, head of the Ministry of the Interior’s Operative Services Department, told the press that he found out about the hunting incident from the media on January 6. He denied having exerted pressure on the commissioner of Falesti to hide this case, as the leader of “Antimafie” Movement Sergiu Mocanu asserted earlier. On February 4, the commission of inquiry questioned doctors of the Service “Aviasan”, but they didn’t make statements for the press. Former prosecutor general Valeriu Zubco is to be questioned at 3pm. Afterward, the commission will put questions to the president of the Supreme Council of Magistrates Nichifor Corochii.
