Six pensioners of the Ministry of the Interior and the penitentiary system were found guilty of following two anticorruption prosecutors while they worked for the internal security bodies of the Shor Party, before the presidential elections of November 2020, IPN reports.
According to the Prosecutor’s Office for Organized Crime and Specials Cases (PCCOCS), it happened in Chisinau. Almost all the six men lived then in Chisinau, being from Anenii-Noi, Chisinau and Lipcani village of Briceni district and being aged between 34 and 53.
The two anticorruption prosecutors noticed that they were being followed and filed complaints to the (PCCOCS). The case was sent to court in May 2021.
The Buiucani Court of Chisinau passed its judgment in May 2023 in the absence of three of the culprits, when the statute of limitations for violating the right to privacy expired. Even if they were freed from responsibility, the court ordered that they should pay over 28,000 lei court costs.
