Alina Gorghiu, interim president of the Romanian Senate, is visiting Chisinau. On this occasion, the Moldovan speaker Igor Grosu thanked Romania for the support offered in a number of projects benefiting Moldovan citizens and for sharing its experience with aligning national legislation with the EU acquis.
Among other issues, the two officials discussed energy security, joint infrastructure projects, and solutions to help vulnerable groups of people, including refugees.
“We will conscientiously do our homework and pay due attention to vulnerable areas”, emphasized Igor Grosu. The speaker also talked about the priorities of the fall/winter parliamentary session, which begins on September 15, mentioning the improvement of legislation related to the field of justice, combating disinformation and propaganda, and zero tolerance for non-transparent financing of political parties.
