The first intergovernmental conference to start the negotiations between the European Union and the Republic of Moldova can be watched online on the official website of the European Union, IPN reports.

The panel discussion for the start of negotiations between the European Union and Ukraine is scheduled for 15.00 Luxembourg time (16.00 Moldova time) and a press conference is announced for 17.15 Luxembourg time.

The Intergovernmental Conference to start the negotiations between the European Union and the Republic of Moldova begins at 18.00 Luxembourg time (19.00 Moldova time). Speeches will be given by Belgian Minister of Foreign Affairs Hadja Lahbib, European Commissioner Olivér Várhelyi and Prime Minister Dorin Recean. The post-meeting press conference is set for 20:00 Luxembourg time (21:00 Moldova time).

The Republic of Moldova applied for EU membership in March 2022 and was granted candidate status in June 2022.
