Interest in PARE 1+1 is growing
The migrants show increased interest in the PARE 1+1 Program. More and more Moldovans who worked abroad or their relatives apply to take part in the 10-day training course in order to learn how to start and run a business, said the head of the Organization for the Development of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises of Moldova Iulia Iabanji, quoted by Info-Prim Neo.
“We have two groups – of 15 and of 21 persons – who finished the training course. There were selected new groups that will receive training. Nine of the 15 applications filed by candidates who benefited from training to the Program Supervision Council were accepted. The given businesses will be co-financed by the state,” Iulia Iabanji said.
Within the PARE 1+1 Program, the Government provides 1 leu per every invested remittance-originated leu, but not more than 200,000 lei per business. The state offers the money as grants.
The investments in the nine businesses vary between 160,000 lei and 1 million lei. Most of the businesses will be set up in rural areas, including a modern diagnosis center in Ungheni district, beekeeping and wooden equipment making businesses, hairdressers and service providing companies.
The Organization for the Development of Small and Medium-Sized Enterpises will organize different workshops, where the companies will exchange experience and will learn about successful businesses. “The entrepreneurs bear responsibility for preventing the businesses from going bankrupt. They must acquire management, marketing, and accounting knowledge so as to be able to run the businesses well. The state will help them by creating a favorable environment by improving the legislation and the market rules that must be equitable and obligatory for all the companies, by facilitating access to financing and other methods, Iulia Iabanji said.
The PARE 1+l Program was approved by the Government on October 18, 2010 and will last for two years. It is aimed at fostering the setting up and development of 500 businesses, mainly in rural areas. The grants of up to 200,000 lei will be allocated from the budget and from the resources provided by foreign donors. About 350,000 Moldovans work abroad according to official reports. Studies made by international institutions show the Moldovans working abroad total approximately 800,000.
