The portal interact-md.org designed to intensify relations between NGOs and mass media was improved through new options that are now available. These include NGO search filters and site languages. Thanks to them, a nongovernmental organization can be searched by various criteria like: field of activity, location and others. The site has currently three search filters: one for NGOs, one for mass media and the third for journalists. Moreover, buttons for the main social networks in Moldova have been integrated in the website. The web portal is an initiative of the Information and Resource Center “Common-Home” in Tiraspol, in collaboration with Trimetrica. The latter company’s representative Eugeniu Cepoi told the press on Thursday that the website was available in Romanian, Russian and English. Until fall, there will be an option to create a more complex account for NGOs that don’t have official websites. Two weeks ago, a mass information campaign was launched to promote the portal by organizing various round tables. During these two weeks, about 15 NGOs registered on interact-md.org, but the organizers urge the NGOs to be more receptive towards the project. The director of “Common-Home” Center Dumitru Gavrilov said the registration on the site was simplified. The development of the web app was possible thanks to the support provided by the United States’ Agency for International Development (USAID) within the framework of the FHI 360 Moldovan Civil Society Strengthening Program.
