Intelligence deputy head dismissed
Moldovan President Vladimir Voronin on Wednesday signed a decree to dismiss Sergiu Burduja from the post of deputy director of the Service for Information and Security (SIS) of Moldova, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to the presidential press service, Sergiu Burduja was discharged from office in connection with taking another job.
Burduja was appointed as SIS deputy director on July 18, 2006, also by presidential decree.
Burduja is a graduate of the Moldovan Academy of Sciences. Since 1993 he had worked at Moldova-Agroindbank, the SIS, and had been advisor to the Minister of Finance. Since July 2002 Burduja had served as general director of the Financial Control Department at the Ministry of Finance.
