Between October 2-6 the 14th edition of the annual international conference regarding insurances in the CIS and the Baltic countries will take place in the town of Soci (Russia). The purpose of the meeting is the exchange of information regarding the main directions of the development of national markets, as well as the examination of the current problems specific to the industry, of the development proposals for the legislation and of the new insurance products. The organizers of the conference also want to cover the creation of necessary conditions for the establishment of business contracts and negotiations. According to the specialized portal allinsurance.ru, the conference will host representatives of the ministries and organs of supervision, the managers of the main insurance agencies from Russia, Belarus, the Ukraine, Kazakhstan, the R. Moldova, Georgia, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan and Latvia. According to the data on the first semester of this year, in the R. Moldova there are 32 insurance agencies, which have totaled premiums of 260.14 million lei during this period, a 31% increase in comparison to the same period of last year. Experts in the sector forecast an increase of 35-40% in the insurance industry for this year.
