Starting with today, May 18, the persons suffering from sugar diabetes can receive injectable insulin in any drugstore of the country free of charge, IPN reports, quoting a communiqué from the Government.
An order was made in April to include the insulin in the list of drugs that are fully compensated from the mandatory health insurance fund. A sum of 25 million lei was allocated from the mandatory health insurance budget for the purpose.
On May 17, the updated list was published in the Official Gazette.
There are over 60,000 persons suffering from diabetes in Moldova.
